Joe Rufa is a Brooklyn-based art director and motion designer with two decades of experience across design, motion, and branding, for clients ranging from scrappy independents to some of the most recognized names in entertainment, tech, and culture.

He came up through graphic design and illustration — gig posters, logos, websites, digital marketing — before an obsession with visual storytelling pulled him sideways into motion and 3D, each discipline informing the next. These days that means rich visual narratives that have something to say, and the flexible brand systems and motion pipelines that let them scale. Alongside the commercial work runs a lifelong art practice spanning music, filmmaking, drawing, and writing. It's the foundation under all of it.
