Avalara automates tax compliance across dozens of product lines. The challenge: most of their customers didn't know half of those products existed. Working with Seattle agency Rupert, Joe designed and animated a large-scale digital campaign to change that.

We developed a richer, more illustrative take on Avalara's brand language — greater depth and warmth than their existing visual library. Simple and colorful 3D environments and characters set the look for everything that followed: a hero video for landing pages, YouTube, and email, plus five 15-second social clips each spotlighting a different product capability, and standalone spot illustrations.
