A reimagined clip from Patton Oswalt's critically acclaimed Netflix special Annihilation — in which he recounts how a group of well-meaning elementary school parents managed to ruin Halloween forever — brought to life with animation and illustration commissioned by Netflix is a Joke.

The comments were not wrong. One of the best stand-ups working today probably doesn't need animation and sound effects popping up over his set. But Patton approved it, the brief was a good time, and maybe some jokes don't mind a little extra company.
