Sirens & the Rat is a fully 3D animated retro-futuristic music video for Bergen-based artist Shikoswe, designed, animated, and directed by Joe Rufa. Built in Cinema 4D, Redshift, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Character Creator 5, and After Effects, every element was digitally handcrafted from scratch — including a custom car, the Lancia Gamma, and Shikoswe's iridescent avatar: half Silver Age comic hero, half long lost extraterrestrial dressed for an intergalactic gala.

Set in a far-future Norway turned to desert, the video follows her awakening and journey through distorted time and space, culminating in a confrontation that sends her spiraling into an astral plane she never returns from. Sleek, shiny, and atmospheric — designed to bring out the ethereal otherworldliness of the track.

The video's centerpiece is the custom-modeled 1979 Lancia Gamma — Pininfarina's quietly radical executive fastback, built with a truncated tail, raked windshield, and a low-slung silhouette. Overlooked in its own era and never quite of it, the Gamma is perfect for a roadtrip through the multiverse.
