Small business owners don't have bad days — they have catastrophic ones. For Google's National Small Business Week campaign, the team at M Booth set out to show how Google's tools lift up the small businesses that could be the fix for all of it, without saying a word.

The solution was Sam — a walking disaster with great taste in glasses — navigating the most chaotic morning of her professional life through a throwback cartoon world built on charm, color, and comedic timing. Every scene had to earn its place, which meant a lot of good ideas hit the cutting room floor in service of a tight, satisfying arc.

The result is an anthem that feels less like an ad and more like a Saturday morning cartoon.
